![]() The Council of Residential Specialists, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, is a member association that provides education and resources to Realtors specializing in residential real estate. CRS had an outdated web site that had grown organically, becoming extremely disorganized, difficult to maintain, and not reflective of the association's professional identity. CRS's main goals in redesigning CRS.com were to create a user-friendly site architecture that was also flexible, expandable, and easy to maintain; to improve its online brand image; to recruit members and provide them with resources; and to drive more traffic to its Yahoo! store. Soon after the new CRS site launched in 2002, it won the Standard of Excellence Award from the Web Marketing Association. For three years, the site's information architecture remained virtually unchanged, though the content was updated regularly to adapt to members' needs. |
